The Magellan™ 2200VS scanner is specifically designed for retailers that require high performance in a compact, vertical form factor. The unit is tailored for very small counter retail checkouts with medium to high volume POS transactions. The Magellan 2200VS scanner is particularly effective in drug stores, convenience stores, smaller to medium sized grocery stores, DIY stores and speciality stores.
Flash memory allows for easy software upgrades and an auxiliary RS-232 port provides versatility for adding a handheld scanner, programming and configuring the scanner, or accessing the scanners label data output. For applications requiring electronic article surveillance (EAS), the 2200VS scanner can be equipped with Checkpoint EAS and can support Sensormatic EAS systems with good-read acknowledgement via the auxiliary RS-232 port. The Datalogic Magellan 2200VS uses Magellan 8500 Series scanning technology to create one of the quickest and easiest-to-use vertical scanners in the industry. The Magellan 2200VS features a large, dense scanning pattern to improve both checkout speed and operator ergonomics. The Magellan 2200VS supports all popular barcode symbologies including RSS. With the ability to upgrade the system software via flash memory, diagnostic reporting, the Productivity Index Reporting software and FirstStrike decoding, the Magellan 2200VS will be a productive part of any enterprise for years to come.
